Free Health Screening at Sg Way

Dec 18, 2008 - Lions Club of KL North organized a Free Health Screening project with the National Kidney Foundation, Malaysia and the Association of Kampung Baru Sungai Way to provide free health screening to the community in Kampung Baru, Sungai Way. The project was held on Dec 18, 2008 from 9.30am to 3.oopm, venue at Dewan Serbaguna Kampung Baru Sungai Way.

It has got overwhelming response and we managed to proivde free screening to 108 people at the area, which we overshot our initial target of 80 people capacity a day. The residence association was asked to plan for another session soon. Congratulation to the Organizing Chairperson, Lion Peter Lek and his working committee for the excellent job.

B, B, in relevant subjects taken at STPM/A levels, and a credit in General Paper)

  • This Scholarship is open to All Qualified Malaysian Students.

Come, Let Your Hands Do The Talking...



Dear Friends,

We are honored to have our Honorary Lion Tan Yap, “The Father of Deaf” as the trainer for the 2-days Sign Language Course: “Come, let your hands do the talking”, to be held on 17 & 18 May 2008 (10am - 4pm) at the Goldhill Club, Bandar Manjalala, KL. We only charge a nominal fee of RM30 per participant for the 2-days course and it is open to all Lions, Lionesses, Leos and friends.

You are cordially invited to attend the said training. We believe it will facilitate us in our journey TO SERVE the handicap people particularly the deaf communities. With this additional skill set, it will bring us closer to our deaf friends, understand their needs and make our communication much effective. We encourage you to spare your time on 17-18 May 2008 to join us experiencing new way of communicating with your lip zipped and your hands doing the talking.
