Press Conference on Lions-EASB and Lions-IPMA with YB Teo Nie Ching on 27 April 2010

April 27, 2010 - Press conference was held with YB Teo Nie Ching & YB Au Yong at the DAP Service Center Serdang to promote Lions-EASB and Lions-IPMA scholarship programs to all Malaysian particularly for the community in Serdang. The following are photos taken during the press conference:

More activities such as education services, Health Screening, organ pledge and blood donation will be carried out with YB to benefit the community in Serdang.

Gotong Royong at The Community Service Centre of the Deaf Dated 17 April 2010

April 17, 2010 - Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur North (KL North) has led and organized a joint Gotong Royong Loving Saturday Project with 11 Lions Clubs and 3 Leo Clubs at the Community Service Centre of The Deaf (CSCD), Lorong Ampang Kuala Lumpur today from 8.30am to 3.00pm. The scope of work includes clearing up the undergrowth on the slope, landscaping, cleaning up the firsh pond & install netting, clearing up the drainage system & prevent floods, electrical works & repair roof leaks, repairing tables & chairs, cleaning up the toilets, and other activities such as preparing foods for lunch, decoration and photoshoting.

The project was successfully carried out by over 55 members team respectively from Lions Club of KL North, KL South, KL Host, KL Mega City, KL Pudu, KL Bukit Kiara, Ampang, KL City, KL Metropolitan, Damansara KL and KL Titiwangsa; from Leo Club of KL Unity, SMK Jinjang and Damansara KL; as well as students from CSCD. A Big Thank to all of you for carrying up this very challenging mission together. We have make a difference. Students of CSCD can have better study environment there.

Special thanks must be given to Organizing Chairman Wesley Er, Organizing Leader Tony Yee, Lion Gina Kuek, friend of Lions Mr Johnny, Ms Cindy & Ms Rose and working committee to make this project a success. We honored to have our hardworking Leos, students of CSCD and Lions who came forward for the project. Without our Region 4 Chairperson Tan Poh Ling, Zone 11 Chairman Lee Yew Foo, Zone 10 Chairman Lim Meng Sheng, Zone 9 Chairperson Uma, Zone 8 Chairman Kenny Low and respective Club Presidents, we would not have got over 55 participants. Also, our hardworks and actions have been captured by our dedicated protographer President Kok, PP Donald Lee and friend of Lions Karen Poon for fond memory. Many thank to all of you and job's well done.

Many thanks to the student of CSCD for presenting us the appreciation cards. That are meaningful and priceless. Also aknowledgement must be given to the clubs/members who contributed in cash and in kind for the project. Thanks to DC Leon Thong of KL Host for contributing RM1,200 for the 1st 6 months of the centre rental fee and Lions Club of Damansara KL for contributing RM1,200 for the 2nd 6 months of the centre rental fee.

Lions KL North Charity Golf at Kajang Hill Golf & Country Club Dated 8 April 2010

April 8, 2010 - Lions KL North Charity Golf was held at Kajang Hill Golf & Country Club this morning from 6.45am to 2.30pm. The event was graced by the Guest of Honour 1st Vice District Governor Dato' Yeow Wah Chin together with 47 golf participants, teeing off at 8.10am. The tournament was based on System 36 (modified), short guns. With a comfortable 12 flights, the tournament took around 5 hours to complete. The event was successfully completed with a buffet lunch at the club house restaurant, and giving out Winner Trophies, Prizes and Lucky Draws.

Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur North would like to thank Dato' Yeow and the 47 golf participants for gracing this event. The project couldn't have kicked-off without their participation. We hope they enjoyed their game with us at Kajang Hill Golf & Country Club.

Also, we would like to thank our sponsors for their sponsorship in cash or in kind for this event. Without them, we could not have raised about RM15 thousands. All the proceeds shall be used to serve and benefit the needy community. The club will determine and ensure the proceeds are given to deserving recipients.

Credit must also be given to the organizing chairman Lion Tai Lung Khoon and his committee for their hard work and dedication to ensure the project is successful carried out. We must congratulate and thank all of you for your job's well done. Also, we would like to thank those members and friends of Lions who came forward to help up to make this a success.

Applying 7 Habits Workshop at Genting INTI International College Dated 27 Mar 2010

Mar 27, 2010 - It is a great pleasure to report that we had successfully delivered the "Applying 7 Habits" Workshop for Genting INTI International College (GIIC) in Gohtong Jaya from 9am to 6pm today. We also had wonderful time for our club social BBQ cum Campfire at GIIC immediately after the workshop. I would like to thank all the facilitators - PDG Sam Leong, President Ln Tan Teoh, Ln Ben Sng, Ln Tony Yee, Ln Isaac KP Ng, Ln Navin Khandhar, and Ln Donald Lee for their commitment and sacrifices for many weeks of preparation for this workshop during our trial run in T.O.C. Without their contribution, this workshop would not be possible. Lastly, I would like to thank our Ln Nicholas Ching for hosting us in GIIC for the workshop and our club social - reported by OC Ln Wesley Er
